Secure Vehicular Communications Through Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) is considered as a revolutionary technique to improve the wireless system performance by reconfiguring radio wave propagation environment artificially. Motivated potential of RIS in vehicular networks, we analyze secrecy outage RIS-aided communications this paper. More specifically, two communication scenarios are considered, i.e., vehicular-to-vehicular (V2V) where acts relay and vehicular-to-infrastructure (V2I) scenario functions receiver. In both scenarios, passive eavesdropper present attempting retrieve transmitted information. Closed-form expressions for probability (SOP) derived verified. The results demonstrate improving with aid under V2V V2I communications.
